Validation
All pages on the site conform to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) recommendations for HTML and CSS. This provides a solid base on which to build an accessible site.
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Where possible, we have also adhered to the W3C WCAG 1.0. In some cases however, we have chosen not to follow those guidelines. In these instances, it is because we believe that those particular recommendations could actually hamper accessibility, rather than improving it.
Visual Design
Only relative font sizes have been used when creating this site, meaning the text will display according to the font size you have chosen in your browser.
We have taken care to select a colour scheme that provides sufficient contrast for those with varying degrees of colour blindness.
This web site has been built to deliver its content and function in any browser or browsing device.
Usability
We understand that usability and accessibility are not necessarily synonymous, and have made every endeavour to make the site usable as well as accessible.
